Oh no! Original characters! Run for your lives!


For those of you who didn't run away, this is my nod to every FA's favorite fairy tale: Hansel and Gretel. Except I say 'Screw Gretel' and turned it into a 'love' story. Because I'm the artist, and I can do that. (that's also why it's just a nod instead of a retelling)

Hansel A farm boy in a small German village, Hansel is just one of over a dozen children in his family. He doesn't really stand out in any way, and is very muted and docile, so his parents, his siblings and most of the town folk don't pay him much attention. He spends his days quietly helping his father with everything that needs doing and taking care of his younger brothers and sisters. But then he starts getting kidnapped....

Witch Not much is known about her except that she will do ANYTHING to get what she wants. And what she wants is a fat man. Lately she's been kidnapping Hansel and stuffing him until he escapes, and she's very good at what she does. She's probably done this to other handsome boys in other towns before getting tired of them and moving on. Hansel doesn't know that she has chosen him as her new favorite, and instead fears he has done something to upset this powerful witch to make her chase him down like this.

Yes, I don't have a name for the witch yet, but I'm open to suggestions, so if you think of one that suits her, I'd love to hear it!
